Dentures
After a tooth loss, your appearance transforms, and your confidence can fade. With dentures, you can regain your confident, normal life even after the loss of your teeth. Offering only the most advanced, removable dentures to best fit you, Triangle Family Dental will guide you every step of the way. Our team creates custom dentures made especially for you and helps you select the shade and shape. You walk away with great fitting dentures that look just like natural teeth, and smiling is just the beginning.

Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used if you have several teeth missing that cannot be corrected with a bridge. A partial denture is created to replace those teeth. The partial denture is removable and is designed to fit comfortably, blending in with any remaining teeth. This type of denture is made from a synthetic material that is supported with a lightweight metal. It mimics your gum tissue and teeth to create a natural-looking smile, while still remaining functional. The partial is important once the teeth have been removed to preserve the bone and to keep existing teeth from tilting and growing in towards the gaps.

Crowns
You can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. Triangle Family Dental uses a tooth-like crown made of porcelain or gold to restore your tooth after the decay has been removed. Crowns are also used to restore chipped or broken teeth, gaps in teeth, and other damage. Also called “caps,” porcelain crowns mimic natural-looking teeth in both shape and color.

Bridges
If you have lost a tooth, a large gap in your smile, left uncorrected, can create significant problems for your dental health. Gradually, your bite pressure may shift to other parts of your mouth to compensate for an inability to efficiently chew in the area of the missing tooth. Neighboring teeth may begin to move into the gap, resulting in discomfort, pain, and more future problems. After some preparation of the two neighboring teeth, crowns are created for them. A prosthetic tooth, or pontic, is fused between the crowns. Fixed bridges literally “bridge the gap” in your smile. Triangle Family Dental creates a functional, natural-looking bridge to correct your smile, to restore your bite, and to alleviate your discomfort.

Inlays/Onlays
Sometimes effectively removing tooth decay requires the removal of a portion of your tooth. The removed portion is then replaced with a porcelain inlay or onlay. Triangle Family Dental customizes an inlay or onlay to fill the space left behind when part of your tooth is removed. Traditionally, inlays and onlays were made out of metal, much like traditional filings. Now, however, porcelain-milled inlays and onlays are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth and provide relief from chewing pain, cavity pain, and tooth degeneration.

Digital Radiographs X-rays
We offer digital radiographs (X-rays). Did you know that digital x-rays use less radiation and are safer for you than traditional film-based X-rays? Radiographs are a necessary diagnostic tool in the field of dentistry. More than half of each tooth is hidden and surrounded by bone, and the only way to truly evaluate the health of your teeth and the bone surrounding your teeth, is through diagnostic radiographs.

Fillings
Are you embarrassed about your smile because of decayed, disfigured, or discolored teeth? If so, you may be a good candidate for composite resins, also known as tooth-colored fillings or restorations. When the decay has been removed from the tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material. In the past, amalgam (silver) fillings were placed into the cleaned out portion of the tooth. However, with new advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored fillings instead of silver fillings, resulting in a long-lasting, brighter, whiter smile. The new tooth-colored material is bonded to the teeth for a stronger restoration.

Root Canal
Damage to the nerve tissue inside of a tooth sometimes requires a root canal procedure. Despite the tales you may have heard regarding the procedure, most root canals are minimally uncomfortable ― especially compared to the pain and discomfort you may be feeling before the procedure. Dr. K takes advantage of advances in technology and in dental techniques that make root canal procedures more effective, while also taking less time.

A root canal involves removing the soft tissue within the tooth (the pulp) when it has become infected and inflamed. Dr. K will gently file the infected tissue out of the root canals of the tooth (where the procedure gets its name) and will fill the void with an inert material. The procedure is completed with the placement of a filling or, in some cases, a crown.

Tooth Extractions
Sometimes injury or decay extensively damages a tooth. And, in certain cases, extraction is the proper treatment option to start you on the path toward complete dental health. Dr. K will gently extract your troublesome tooth, giving you the treatment options for replacing that tooth and for completing your beautiful smile once again.

Wisdom Teeth Removal
Do you still have your wisdom teeth? Have you been putting off their removal? At some point in your life, most everyone requires that their wisdom teeth be extracted as a measure of preventative dentistry. A number of painful and lasting problems can occur due to the arrival of wisdom teeth. But, with today’s dental technology, this procedure has been improved to maximize your comfort and to speed along your recovery time. Triangle Family Dental will refer you to an Oral Surgeon if we see that you need this procedure.

One Year Old Exams
Do you know when your child’s dental care should begin? The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends letting the appearance of the first baby tooth act as your indicator. For most babies, this occurs when they are between six months and one year of age. A simpler way to remember is: first dental visit by first birthday. It’s important to remember that baby teeth serve as placeholders for adult teeth. If baby teeth are damaged, permanent teeth can grow out of position, resulting in crowding and/or crookedness.

Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer affects tens of thousands of Americans every year, and one out of four cases is fatal. As with most cancers, the key to beating the disease is catching it before it progresses to a later stage. With early detection from a routine oral cancer screening, there is a 90% success rate of healing after diagnosis. A trusted dentist like Dr. K is truly your only line of defense against oral cancer. She and her team of dental professionals are the only ones to regularly evaluate your oral health and to notice any potential abnormalities. Gain the peace of mind that comes with a regular oral cancer screening from Triangle Family Dental. With the help of the latest dental technology, even a diagnosis of oral cancer can be successfully treated through early detection.

Occlusal Guards a.k.a. Night guards
An image of the occlusal guards we create. Custom made. Long lasting.
An occlusal guard is a simple solution that protects your teeth and jaw from the harmful results of night time teeth clenching and grinding. We create a custom-molded, plastic occlusal guard to comfortably fit over your upper or lower teeth, creating a protective barrier between your teeth. The cushion of the night guard between the teeth absorbs the force of teeth grinding. A night guard reduces teeth clenching and grinding, as well as TMJ problems by helping to relax the muscles in the jaw. Finally, you may rest comfortably again while protecting your teeth!
Sports guards a.k.a. Mouthguards
If your child plays sports or other similar activities, mouthguards are a great way to protect their teeth from potential injury. Mouthguards are easy to clean, come in many color combinations and are custom made to fit comfortably in your child’s mouth.
